Not that it doesn't have some very interesting points to make and quotes to remember. This book was difficult to read and to get through. The promise first made to Abraham is fulfilled in two stages: 1) in the covenant history of Israel as God's chosen people with a mission to the nations, and 2) in Christ and the church. From the Biblical viewpoint, it is the covenant of blessing with Abraham that is the real starting point for this story of God's redeeming purpose and saving acts.
